About the event
Join us for an enchanting hour of sound meditation by candlelight. Immerse yourself in a unique collaboration featuring Mitsuko, who will grace us with transforming gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and waterfall stick. Alongside, Suburbanoid will showcase a captivating array of world instruments, including the Baglama, Ebow guitar, kalimba, vocals, chimes, singing bowls, and both buffalo and ocean drums.
This immersive experience will gently guide you inward, helping you reconnect with your inner peace. As Alan Watts beautifully said, “The best way to get into the meditative state is to begin by listening.”
Doors will open at 6:30 PM, allowing you to stroll through the serene International Garden of Peace. The sound meditation will commence at 7 PM as the sun sets and will conclude with a warm cup of tea on the patio.
Come and experience a truly unique and deeply relaxing sound meditation. We look forward to sharing this transformative journey with you!

Jim Davis, known as Suburbanoid, is a sound meditation specialist who has been creating healing music for over two decades. His sound meditation journey began over 20 years ago during a meditation course, where he started composing music to guide meditation practice.
He has traveled extensively, bringing transformative sound experiences to yoga studios, meditation centers, and spiritual communities across the country.
Currently in his fifth year offering Sunday sound meditations at Meditation Mount, Jim creates immersive experiences using Fusion Sitar, Tibetan singing bowls, guitar with electric bow, Koshi chimes, gong, and other healing instruments.
Jim creates a welcoming field of resonance that invites us to relax and enter into a deeper relationship with our essential nature – the tonal core that is the note of our Soul.

Mitsuko has been devoted to sound healing since 2012, rooted in Kundalini yoga and trained in the gongs by teacher Mehtab Benton. Her passion centers on two 32-inch gongs, complemented by rain sticks, chimes, crystal bowls, and waterfall sticks, creating transformative vibrations that invite profound presence and expanded consciousness.
Based in Santa Barbara with a heart connection to Ojai, she has led sound offerings in private sessions, large gatherings, yoga teacher trainings, festivals, and collaborative events.
