About the event

Release, relax, and let go with gentle Yoga and Gong Yoga Nidra, led by Carrie Gorrell at the Meditation Mount sanctuary, honoring Lida Martin's spirit and wisdom.

In this practice, we invite complete relaxation through the power of yoga and sound vibration—allowing body, mind, and spirit to naturally restore and rejuvenate themselves. This session begins with a creative meditation to ground and center your being, followed by a gentle yoga flow designed to prepare your nervous system for deep relaxation. As we move mindfully through poses and breathwork, we cultivate presence and connection with ourselves. This practice concludes with an immersive Gong Yoga Nidra experience, where the powerful vibrations of the Symphonic Gong carry you into "yogic sleep"—a state of conscious rest that facilitates profound healing, stress release, and nervous system restoration.

I release. I relax. I let go.

We provide yoga mats for your use, though you're welcome to bring your own mat and any additional props—such as blankets, bolsters, or pillows—that will support and enhance your comfort during your practice.

Carrie is a certified 500-hour yoga teacher (2014) and Urban Zen Therapy practitioner. As her personal practice deepened over the years, she became increasingly passionate about yoga as a transformative means of self-care, expanding her expertise to bring the healing arts of yoga, breathwork, Reiki, and essential oil therapies to hospitals and care facilities around the world.

Carrie creates sacred space for each individual to define their own unique meaning of yoga, inspiring students to look beyond the purely physical and deepen connection with their true selves. As Yoga Sutra 1.3 beautifully states, "Then the Seer (Self) abides in its own nature." She believes we are all seers waiting to consciously connect with who we really are at our core.

Arrival guidelines: The Meditation Mount gate opens 30 minutes before the session begins, creating space for quiet reflection and communion with the land. To honor the sacred container we create together, gates close 30 minutes after the session starts with no late entry permitted.

To preserve Meditation Mount as a sacred space, we have a policy of no pets, no picnics and no alcohol.

Thank you for understanding and honoring this request.
