About the event

Join DeAnna Carpenter and Karina Arcia in our panoramic auditorium for this intentional journey of space and transitions in "In the Bardo: Honoring the In-Between through Sound, Breath and Community."

What is the bardo? A Tibetan term that translates to “between two.”

Between two spaces.

Between two phases.

Between two points of existence.

The bardo is also the space where we remember what we've always been: essentially divine.

In this 90-minute experience, you will explore what’s between the notes, the breath, the words, and your thoughts. Through a series of reflective prompts, a guided meditation, and intentional breathing – all sealed and suspended in an immersive soundscape – you will emerge from this offering with greater calm, clarity and a sense of awareness and assuredness as you navigate what it means to be alive, what it means to be a divine spiritual being, what it means to be human during a transitional time in humanity’s and the planet’s ever-unfolding history.

All comfort items are provided for your experience: yoga mats, back supports (backjacks), blankets, and water. You're also welcome to bring any additional items—such as an eye pillow, extra blanket, or personal cushion—that will enhance your comfort and deepen your ability to receive.

Karina Arcia is a meditation and sound practitioner whose work is grounded in presence, clarity, and lived awareness. Since beginning her meditation practice in 2014, her path has unfolded through years of direct experience, reflection, and integration, maturing into a steady, embodied way of holding space that is calm, precise, and deeply attuned.

Working with Tibetan singing bowls, a gong and select acoustic instruments, Karina offers sound-based meditation experiences that invite inner knowing. Her sessions support coherence, inner stillness, and a gentle return to the body, creating space for rest, reconnection, and quiet remembering.

DeAnna Lynette Carpenter is a healing artist, ceremonialist, and creator of She Who Builds - a community that supports women in confidently architecting and building a holistic life of their imagination.

Through spiritual doulaship, domestic and international retreat facilitation, playshops, sound healings, kundalini yoga, mindfulness and more, DeAnna brings presence, perception, perspective, creativity, appreciation for beauty and innocence, her love of people and the land, authenticity, grounding, compassion, curiosity, enthusiasm, ceremony, and wisdom to every space she encounters.
