About the event

Northern Breath: Finding Your North Star is a three-day immersive retreat designed to quiet mental overactivity, support nervous system regulation, and help you reconnect with your inner compass. (This is a day retreat experience, no overnight accommodations are provided)

Lene McNair draws inspiration from the quiet clarity of the Arctic landscape and the timeless symbol of the North Star, a guiding point people have used for centuries to find their orientation and navigate forward. In an environment where silence, breath, and presence become deeply tangible, Lene's work is shaped by the stillness and spaciousness of the Arctic.

A central element of this retreat is the Northern Breath Compass Practice, a contemplative walk across Meditation Mount's sacred grounds exploring the four cardinal viewpoints marked on the land. Moving intentionally between the directions, you'll experience how breath, awareness, and orientation work together as a living compass.

Each direction invites a different quality of awareness:

North Notice & Observation: Pause and observe the breath, bringing awareness to body and mind.

South Regulation & Adaptation: Learn how breath regulates the nervous system and shifts internal state.

East Expansion & Capacity: Open space for deeper breathing, presence, and new possibilities.

West Integration & Way-finding: Bring the experience together and sense the path forward.

Through guided breath practices, reflection, and movement, you'll experience how breath, body, and awareness work together as a practical inner compass.

These practices are grounded, accessible, and emphasize breath training and nervous system regulation. As the body settles and the mind quiets, a clear and calm state begins to emerge. In this quieter space, clarity, creativity, and new perspectives often arise naturally. From this place of balance and presence, you reconnect with your inner compass and the North Star that guides you forward.

You'll leave with a renewed sense of clarity and connection to your North Star.

Lene McNair is a breathwork facilitator whose work is shaped by the Arctic landscape of her home in Tromsø, Northern Norway. There, in an environment where silence, breath, and presence become deeply tangible, she found inspiration in the North Star—the timeless guiding point people have used for centuries to orient themselves and move forward with clarity. Drawing on the stillness and spaciousness of the Arctic, Lene's practices help participants quiet their minds, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with their inner compass.
