About the event
Join Emily Beliveau and Suburbanoid for a Qigong and Sound Healing Journey honoring spring's energy of renewal, growth, and aligned action.
Spring is the season of growth, inviting us to release what has been stagnant and reconnect with forward momentum, guided not by force, but by clarity and inner alignment. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the liver governs movement, vision, creativity, and the smooth flow of energy throughout the body. When liver energy flows freely, we feel clear, decisive, and connected to our deeper purpose. This 90-minute journey weaves together movement and sound to support the liver meridian, encourage healthy qi flow, and awaken your creative vitality for the season ahead.
The practice begins with a 45-minute Qigong flow led by Emily Beliveau. Accompanied by live ambient sound, this gentle practice releases stored tension and emotional stagnation while awakening creative energy and inner vision.
Following the movement practice, Jim Suburbanoid leads a 45-minute immersive sound healing journey to integrate the Qigong practice and anchor your intentions for the season ahead. The healing vibrations support deep relaxation, clarity, and the continued flow of renewed energy.
Come reconnect with your inner vision and capacity for growth as we welcome spring together!
We provide yoga mats, though you're welcome to bring your own mat and any additional comfort items that will support your comfort during the practice.

Emily Beliveau came to Medical Qigong through her own profound healing journey, discovering that energy practices could shift what conventional approaches could not. Under the mentorship of her Medical Qigong Grandmaster, she studied for seven years, learning to work with the body's subtle energy systems, organ energetics, and the ancient Daoist understanding of how physical, emotional, and spiritual health are inseparably connected.
Through her apprenticeship, Emily learned to observe and release stored emotions, clear stagnant energy, and support the body's innate capacity for healing and transformation. What began as personal practice became a calling to support others on their path.
Emily holds a Master's degree in Daoist Arts & Philosophy and a Bachelor's degree in Biology, bringing both ancient wisdom and modern understanding to her work. Her teaching is grounded in compassion, personal experience, and ongoing cultivation. Emily creates accessible pathways for students to work with their own energy, release what no longer serves, and reconnect with their innate healing capacity and vital life force.

Jim Davis, known as Suburbanoid, is a sound meditation specialist who has been creating healing music for over two decades. His sound meditation journey began over 20 years ago during a meditation course, where he started composing music to guide meditation practice.
He has traveled extensively, bringing transformative sound experiences to yoga studios, meditation centers, and spiritual communities across the country.
Using Fusion Sitar, Tibetan singing bowls, guitar with electric bow, Koshi chimes, gong, and other healing instruments, Jim creates a welcoming field of resonance that invites us to relax and enter into a deeper relationship with our essential nature – the tonal core that is the note of our Soul.
