Join us in celebrating Meditation Mount’s 54th anniversary with Sowing Seeds of Peace: A Community Gathering on Saturday, April 12th, from 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM.
In alignment with the powerful energies of the Aries Festival, we will come together to plant much-needed seeds of peace by dedicating and unveiling a new Peace Pole in the International Garden of Peace at the time of the Full Moon.
This special gathering will be guided by Meditation Mount Board President Michael Lindfield. Board Member Diana Lang will lead the Full Moon Meditation, and harpist Shelley Burgon, cellist Jeremy Turner, and poet and peace messenger Mandy Kahn will make inspiring contributions.
We invite you to arrive early (the Meditation Mount gate opens at 3:45 PM) for tea served on the terrace. This event is an opportunity to celebrate the vision of a brighter, more peaceful, and hope-filled future for all beings - a time of joyful commitment to call in and anchor the Spirit of Peace inside the Heart of Humanity. May Peace Prevail on Earth.
The event is by donation, and you are invited to make an Offering to support the ongoing work of Meditation Mount as a Beacon of Light and a nourishing Sanctuary for the Soul - serving both our local and global communities.

**The Meditation Mount gates open at 3:45 PM, giving you time to arrive mindfully. Please note that gates close at 4:30 pm after the event begins, and late entry will not be permitted

Michael Lindfield is a highly regarded consultant and spiritual guide with over 55 years of international experience supporting individuals and organizations unleash the creativity of the human spirit in response to the urgent need of our times and the compelling call of the soul to shape a more compassionate, just and joyful future.
His background includes a 14-year residency as a gardener and Director of Education at the Findhorn Community in Scotland; organic farming in Sweden; conducting seminars on the theme of‘Transforming self and society from the inside out’ and ‘Cooperating with the Subtle Realms of Gaia’ as well as a senior organization development consultant and coach with The Boeing Company from 1989-2005 involved with large-scale systems change.
Author of ‘The Dance of Change: An Eco-Spiritual Approach to Transformation’ (Penguin Books 1986) with numerous articles featured in psychology, education, and business journals.
Michael seeks to apply the Ageless Wisdom teachings in daily life. He is co-founder of The Science of Group Work initiative, currently serves as Board President of Meditation Mount in Ojai, California, and is a member of the Community of Living Ethics in Umbria, Italy.

Mandy Kahn is the author of three poetry collections: Holy Doors (2023), Glenn Gould’s Chair (2017) and Math, Heaven, Time (2014). Her poems have been included in the Best American Poetry anthology series, have been read on BBC Radio, and have been featured in the national newspaper column American Life in Poetry. She has given readings at Cambridge University, the Getty Museum, MOCA, and the Barrick Museum, has been profiled in the magazines Flaunt, Issue and Malibu, and has been interviewed by The Los Angeles Review of Books. She’s also the subject of Courtney Sell’s feature-length documentary Peace Piece: The Immersive Poems of Mandy Kahn.
Since 2019, Kahn has served as writer-in-residence at the Philosophical Research Society, a hub of spiritual and philosophical discourse in Los Angeles founded in 1934 by wisdom scholar Manly P. Hall.
A devoted advocate for peace, Kahn began presenting a monthly series of peace-themed concerts at the Philosophical Research Society in June of 2019. She has been a featured speaker at many peace events, including at Peace Week, World Unity Week and One Planet Peace Forum.
In September of 2020, Kahn began hosting Peace Class, a free, weekly Zoom-based gathering that brings participants together to build inner peace and world peace in community. Now in its fifth year, Peace Class welcomes participants from around the world at its Wednesday night meetings, which are hosted by the Philosophical Research Society.
In 2021, Kahn co-presented a peace concert at Meditation Mount in conjunction with Dot Maver, director of the National Peace Academy, Fumi Johns Stewart, executive director of May Peace Prevail On Earth International, and Michael Lindfield, Meditation Mount’s board president.

Shelley Burgon is a trained harpist (BA & MFA) and a 200 hour YTT graduate of Shivakali Yoga. In 2015, she completed a 10-day Vipassana meditation course and has studied mindfulness, loving-kindness, and sound meditation both in NYC and CA.
With over twenty years of performance and improvisation experience Shelley combines the soothing sounds of the harp with the practice of meditation. She is dedicated to helping people find inner peace, harmony and happiness. After years of experience as both a meditator and a trained harpist, Shelley offers a unique
approach to mindfulness that engages the senses through sound to create a relaxing space for contemplation and intention setting. Her aim is to transport the listener to a state of deep relaxation where they can cultivate inner stillness and awareness that ultimately leads to inner peace and happiness.
Shelley has had the pleasure of recording the music of various artists, including Joan LaBarbara, Bjork
and Anthony Braxton. She was a student of Pauline Oliveros and has shared the
stage with Fred Frith, Joe Wong, and Wild Up.

Jeremy Turner is a composer, conductor, and multi-instrumentalist known for his innovative work in film, television, and the stage. A two-time Emmy® nominee, he has scored projects for Disney+, HBO, Netflix, and Hulu, while also composing concert works and music for art installations. Notable projects include Netflix's Five Came Back produced by Steven Spielberg, Broadway’s Betrayal directed by Mike Nichols, and recent works like The Coast of Industry at MASS MoCA. His music has been performed at Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and by ensembles such as The Jack Quartet and Brooklyn Rider.
A Juilliard-trained cellist, Turner was a longtime member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and has performed with artists ranging from Renee Fleming to Paul McCartney. He has conducted twice at the LACMA Art + Film Gala, as well as in Central Park for Ralph Lauren’s 50th Anniversary. As a composer, his works have been commissioned by the Seattle Chamber Music Society and the Music Academy of the West, among others. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Ojai Music Festival and the Artistic Advisory Board at National Sawdust.
