About the event

Join us for a gentle, soulful yoga practice that honors your body, mind, heart, and breath. Through mindfully crafted sequences and meditation, we explore yoga as a pathway to presence and inner peace.

Each class balances gentle movement with quiet strength, inviting you to listen to your body's wisdom and practice with authenticity. We focus on mindfulness and healing, the correct way of moving so your practice supports rather than strains your body. Whether flowing through sequences or resting in stillness, you'll experience the harmony that emerges when we practice together.

This practice welcomes all levels and all bodies. Modifications are offered throughout, so you can participate fully while honoring your unique needs. Come as you are and discover how gentle movement and meditation create lasting peace and presence.

We provide yoga mats for your use, though you're invited to bring your own mat and any additional props—such as blocks, bolsters, or blankets—that will support and enhance your personal practice.

Yasa Rasakhoo's yoga journey spans three decades of dedicated practice, woven through the seasons of a rich and full life. What began as a personal practice deepened into a calling to teach. Nineteen years ago, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training, and recognizing her passion for the work, she went on to complete 500 hours of advanced training, eventually leaving her career after 29 years to become a full-time yoga teacher for 12 years. Today, Yasa teaches part-time, allowing space for her other passions including travel and the exploration of complementary healing practices.

Yasa's approach to teaching is grounded in multiple practices. She has studied somatic yoga, bringing the art of moving the body in ways that create healing rather than strain. She is also a certified Qigong instructor and has 45 years of meditation practice, particularly Vipassana meditation, which she has studied intensively through multiple 10-day silent retreats. This contemplative foundation flows through every class she teaches.

Yasa's teaching philosophy centers on creating harmony among all aspects of our being. She believes that yoga is not about physical achievement, but about cultivating mindfulness, respect for our bodies, and a sense of oneness with all that is. Her classes balance softness with strength, inviting students to practice with authenticity, let go of ego, and embrace the unique wisdom of their own bodies.
