View from the Mount: “The Call for Wise Stewardship” – August 3, 2025

Welcome to the View From the Mount broadcast with Michael Lindfield, held on Sunday, August 3rd at 6:00 PM PDT, the theme was: “The Call for Wise Stewardship”.

Scientific research in the field of quantum physics is revealing and realizing what philosophers have known for millennia: namely, that the Created Universe is a matrix of inter-related aspects of One Living System. The annals of the Ageless Wisdom teachings describe a wondrous scalar continuum of lives-within-lives – systems-within-systems and the Greek philosopher, Anaxagoras, boldly declared that, “Everything is contained in everything.”

The question often arises as to who is responsible for the wellbeing of the system. My answer is invariably, “Stewardship responsibility is shared by all who comprise the system”. Perhaps it is easier to understand this assignment if we begin by focusing on the Ecosystem of Self as each of us is asked to be a responsible steward for the complex system of physical, emotional, mental and transpersonal elements that make up the ‘whole person’.

There is a further dimension of stewardship responsibility that urgently needs to be addressed. I believe we are being asked to assume responsibility for the greater planetary ecosystem in which our personal lives, communities and organizations are housed.

If I were to gaze into a crystal ball and boldly envision a preferred future, my sense is that without an enhanced and applied Systems Awareness, inspired by the Principle of Unanimity that carries with it a respect for all living beings, we will not be able to build a society that is regenerative and sustainable: one that nourishes, celebrates and honors all of its constituent parts as it strives towards a “more perfect union”.

During our time together we will explore the nature of living systems and what it takes to maintain optimal health of the organism – be that a person, a neighborhood or the whole planet.
