There is also a Biblical reference that declares, “Our God is a consuming fire” and in esoteric parlance we are told that, “fire is that which burns all that is not of itself.” With these truths in mind and by taking a keen look at the state of our world, it would appear that we are living in the middle of the Days of Fire.
To reinforce this supposition, 2016 in the Chinese calendar is the Year of the Red Fire Monkey with the heavenly yang metal energies of Solar Fire interacting with the yang metal energies of the earth to produce the potential for destructive and chaotic times.
Chaos can simply be seen as a random, non-directed primordial soup of elements awaiting the fiery call of purpose that will reorganize them – like iron-filings patterned by the attractive force of a magnet – to create the needed new forms of a higher order.
Amid the stark chaos and disarray of these times I believe our primary group endeavor is to invoke the greater magnetic Purpose and Plan that lives in the Heart of the Creator and dare to shape the longed-for new order out of the present chaos of doubt and despair through fiery acts of beauty, joy and love.
Life is a burning ground where the Fire of Love is eventually realized after the dross has been sufficiently burned and the Dweller courageously faced. To safely invoke and house the Fire of Love we must first build a suitable fireplace and the most apposite hearth is surely an open and loving heart.
The following words of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin offer us hope and a glimpse of the real power that will unlock the door to our desired future; namely, an imminent and immanent event of divine conflagration:
“Someday, after we have mastered the winds and the waves and the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of Love. And then, for the second time in the history of the world, humankind will have discovered fire.”
